Another week down and I am ready for a fab weekend trip to Savannah, Georgia with my girlfriends.  Let’s start the weekend out right with my five faves of the week.

This is a VERY exciting week for us here at Lace Cosmetics.  We have just launched a new branch of our brand called Lace On Location.  

Natural Beauty

In October, I worked with a very sweet bride named Lizz.  She was seeking a Makeup Artist that would give her a natural and fresh look.  With her wedding date quickly approaching, we did the trial run just 2 days before and perfected her look.

On the actual wedding day, I had a BLAST working with Lizz’s wedding party and running into a few people that I knew along the way.  There was such a relaxed and easy going atmosphere in the brides room of the church that made my job feel so easy.

Well it has been a busy week to say the least.  I still haven’t completely come down from the high of the weekend.  Weddings, Lace Cosmetics events and photo shoots.  I have really kept up the momentum from the weekend and am so excited to be planning this weekends Lace Cosmetics Photo Booth Event! *yay!!!*

Five Friday Faves

We have survived yet another crazy work week!  Give yourself a pat on the back.  I will be working all weekend in stores and will also be on location for private events.  So excited!  If you think I work seven days a week…you’re totally right.  With that being said, for this weeks “five friday faves” I will be doing the music edition!  Here are my five favorite songs right now that are going to get me pumped up so I can dance my way through the weekend hustle.

2013 Wedding Trends

For the last couple of years the biggest trend in weddings has been the vintage theme.  Now that 2012 is coming to a close, engagement season is around the corner and it is time to look forward to 2013.  I am going to fill you in on the two themes that will be trending in the new year.

I hope you all had an amazing weekend.  Mine was fantastic but it went by SO fast!  Here is a little photo diary of the chaos.

Over the weekend I had SEVERAL bridal trial runs.  It was madness in my office between scheduling weddings, trial runs, face charts, contracts, deposits…. needless to say, a spread sheet was born.

The Fall

I could not be more excited right now.  Fall is around the corner and you can feel it in the air.  I have a theory that everything good happens in the Fall.  In Spring you do “spring cleaning” and in the Fall…well, I do what I call “fall organizing”.  I feel like this is the time when all that has been weighing on you falls away (pun intended) and you can just open your eyes, take a deep breath and reevaluate.  Reorganize.  Rinse. Repeat.

As a part of my reorganization, I am about to rebuild all of my websites and rework many of my promotional materials.  In the process of working on everything, I made a portfolio video that will promote my work with Wedding Wire.  It is just a little something extra that I thought was really cute and does a great job of showcasing my work.  I hope you like it and make sure you follow our blog to get updates on everything happening with Lace Cosmetics and Amanda Ford Pro services!

Five Friday Faves

Happy Friday!!!

I was so lucky to have SO many brides contact me over the week and I picked up a few other gigs as well.  Looks like the end of summer and beginning of fall are going to be fruitful and I am beyond grateful and excited!

Here Comes The Bride

The week before I left Atlanta, I got to do the wedding makeup for a lovely young lady that I have known in passing for the last couple of years.  We had done Lisa’s trial run at Demure Boutique and had a great time putting her entire look together.  On the wedding day, I met the lovely Miss Lisa in her posh suite at the W Hotel downtown.  I was so happy to also meet and do makeup for one of her bridesmaids who is also a FABULOUS photographer.  She was kind enough to give me all of these pictures that she snapped during our beauty prep session.  If you are ever looking for a great photographer, look her up.  Her name is Tessa Rice and you can see some more of her work on her website tessarice.com
